The Quiet Power of Showing Up
One of the things I've come to appreciate most about Life Choice is that so much of what God does here happens because people like you and me simply decide to care.
Not everyone stands on a stage. Not everyone leads a ministry or has a dramatic testimony to tell.
Sometimes the biggest impact comes from people who are faithful every day.
I recently found myself thinking about one special family who has been supporting Life Choice for several years. They would never want recognition, which is one of the reasons I admire them so much. In fact, they specifically prefer that the focus stay on the women and families we serve rather than on themselves.
They first learned about Life Choice through their church. What began as a simple gift turned into a faithful commitment. Month after month, year after year, they have continued to give.
They have received no special attention, just faithfulness.
And that faithfulness has made a real difference.
Because of supporters like them, women facing unexpected pregnancies have received free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and practical support when they needed it most. More importantly, they've found someone willing to listen, encourage them, and remind them that they are not alone.
When I asked why they continue to support Life Choice, their answer was simple.
"We believe every life has value. We just want to be part of giving moms and dads hope when they need it most."
I love that answer because it captures the heart of this ministry. At its core, Life Choice is about people helping people. It's about stepping into someone's difficult moment and giving them hope.
What encourages me most is knowing that you don't have to do something extraordinary to make a difference. Most of the impact we see comes from people who simply decide to be faithful with what God has given them. This could be a prayer, a donation, a few volunteer hours, or just caring when no one else does. God's gifts are different for each person.
Those things may seem small, but God has a way of multiplying small acts of faithfulness into something much bigger than we can imagine. Most supporters will never meet the woman who sees her baby's heartbeat for the first time because of their generosity. They may never hear the story of the family that found hope during a difficult season. But they are part of those stories.
Every prayer prayed, every dollar give, every act of service; it all becomes part of a life that is God is touching. That's one of the beautiful things about partnering in ministry. We may not always see the full impact, but God does.
If you've ever felt your heart stirred to help women and families in our community, I want to encourage you to take that next step.
Whether it's through prayer, volunteering, a one-time gift, or ongoing support, every act of faithfulness matters. Because when people come together with open hearts and willing hands, God can do incredible things.
And often, it all begins with something as simple as showing up.
